    I have no idea what AAVE is, I’ve only ever come across those words being used as parodies of modern internet slang.

      African American Vernacular English.

      In the US, at least, slang tends to trickle upwards, from People of Color, and/or queer communities, to young people, to your white suburban dad’s Facebook page where culture goes to die
