I haven’t ever gone more than about 28 hours without sleep. My body just won’t stand for that

I indeed have. 8-9 hours is a struggle for me.
I think I would need extremely heavy sedatives to even sleep 12 hours. How the fuck?
Would you really want to take a shit where 100,000 other humans did first though?
I sort of enjoyed it. Like I said, it was bizarre and confusing but I’m glad weird movies like that can be made sometimes. If nothing else just to explore what can be done on film.
Have you seen it or are you just repeating other people’s opinions?
Yeah, well the thing is for me a lot of those types of movies are great but some are absolute trash. And then there are some that I have a lot of mixed feelings about. I don’t really get most David Lynch movies for example, but I’ve rarely felt like watching them were a waste of time because at least you’ll see something interesting. Then there’s total bizarre experience films. I have no fucking clue what Holy Mountain was, but I was fascinated by it.
Yeah, depends on the film if that’s long or not. Lawrence of Arabia is one of my favorite movies. It is 3:45 long, and I’m glad they didn’t cut it shorter.
it’s a very expensive, pretty, and totally incoherent mess of a film that a few people feel is profound but most people think is a colossal piece of shit.
It sounds like what people should have thought about Inception, but everyone instead apparently fucking loved that movie.
All the hate given toward Megalopolis makes me want to see it. Before that, I wasn’t interested just based on the poster.
I am with you on almost all this, but I’m not sure about this:
a culture that generally mocks anything long winded.
Don’t you remember the many-part tweets? Super common and all but admitting how fucking moronic the character limit was. The character limit alone made Twitter a huge piece of shit that I always hated. And I’m with you that it never made anything better. People argued for years that Twitter was good specifically because of that limit. I never understood that argument in the least.
Why yes! We need the kitchen sink there, just in case we ever need to use a kitchen sink!
I’m so glad I never had to work with angular. Those constructs always disgusted me
I love when people have such good faith. Good talk.
Ah yes, the idea that many people “support genocide”
Haha I was making a joke about the terminology but I probably should actually do some reading about the topic
Isn’t that the time you want to buy…?
ex-date chasing
Don’t they call that “stalking”?
And the cloning can happen thousands of times in one second?
My point is that the word censorship carries a connotation of trying to suppress certain types of speech. While that may be true in some cases, for the most part if I get moderated it’s for an opinion I can understand or disagree with. In either case it’s an opinion. I’m not a victim. On some instances though, yeah censorship is kind of a thing. On .ml, anything seen as not extremely left wing gets deleted or banned, and that’s bad. But I can just avoid that shitty instance. No one owes me the “right” to be heard in every context.
