At the cost of entry level jobs. So how exactly are future young workers supposed to gain the experience necessary for mid level jobs? Much of the ‘lack of employees’ that western companies currently complain of are a direct response to those very same companies stopping training of entry level employees 30-40 years ago. You often hear a 70-80 yo CEO brag about how they started in the mailroom and worked their way up. That isn’t possible now because companies expect all employees to already surpass the knowledge level needed for a job before they are hired, there is no company training provided.
