What’s even worse is there are LLM’s specific to the legal industry that would serve better for this attorney’s purposes, if they weren’t too lazy to review the output at least. They could have also asked the LLM to simply insert placeholders to references for them instead of creating them out of thin air, which would have given them the opportunity to put in legit info.
