    the shooter has no name, no face, no ideology, no evidence. charlie kirk, in the midst of saying something truly disgusting, was shot in the neck and lots of blood spurted out and he died instantly. that is all that matters. the people saw their own truth in that and no further information could benefit us. the ruling class is going to unprecedented lengths to control people’s thoughts about this because they’re terrified that a revolution is closer than ever. they’re telling us about a suspect to remind us that his life is over, making it about him so it wont be about charlie kirk, making us wonder what he meant by it so we’ll forget what it meant to us. nothing the pigs or the capitalist media say is ever to be trusted, death to every single one of them. charlie kirk was assassinated for being a horrible monster and working to destroy the world. that’s the end of the story.

      I was saying today that this dude is a full lib. He’s a lib who sees what’s happening and doesn’t understand why. He knows we should hate fascists and fascism, and probably knows the “last time” fascism was around people did the “right thing” and fought the fascist state, yet no one is doing that. He knows the broad strokes of history but not the material forces of history. “We fought the fascist in WW2! Why isn’t anyone fighting them now!?” He diverged from his conservative upbringing but it provided him a particular set of skills. He had no plan for after the deed, he had no group he was linking up with, just a lib backed into a corner with no support to pull them into actual organizing.

              If we wanted to resurrect Lenin, I think we’d use a more badass sacrifice than some idiot conservative commentator. Or we’d use someone no one would notice missing. And we wouldn’t perform the sacrifice with a rifle at a public event, we’d set up a proper ritual somewhere. We’ve got a wide range of religious and occult tradition practices among the left, current and former practitioners of both types of ritual practices, surely we have folks who could write a decent ritual for that.

              But then, we wouldn’t use a Western style ritual sacrifice to try to resurrect Lenin. That’s a job for Juche Necromancy, anyone who knows anything about The Left knows that!

          I hope to be wrong. I guess there are apparently a solid portion (majority?) of helldivers players that miss all the irony so maybe it tracks?

          I guess I don’t think it’s worth saying that the song itself means one thing or the other, but it’s new to me that it was appropriated by groyper culture (among others, like you said).

            There is not a single leftist that I am aware of that uses Helldivers memes, ironically or unironically. I have seen it used to make fun of trying to apply Helldiver logic to other games, but that is about it.

                Irony poisoned leftists don’t call other people gay, they call themselves gay, and the OwO is pretty much only used around here and 4chan (as many of us are 4chan expats), and I doubt a leftist would attempt to implicate furries into whatever stupid shit they are doing. I am literally friends with furries and it comes up maybe once a year, at most, and certainly isn’t the most memorable meme that exists within the community. It’s a right-wing obsession that tracks into all of their discourse.

                Everything else was just chaff as far as I was concerned, but now that context has been provided, that 100% tracks.

    To be honest I don’t buy the groyper theory at all. The suspect here apparently told his family that he disliked Kirk for “spreading hate”. I’m pretty sure that’s not the groyper critique of Kirk. Also pointing at playlists with 30 saves or videogame mods with 90 installs about how Bella ciao has been reclaimed or “fascist catch” is from a videogame is not convincing evidence. Neither is judging from his appearance. If average looking white dudes couldn’t be leftist, this website would not exist. And the “Republican donation” is most likely not the suspect, the donation appears to have been made by a 30 year old, and not him (who would have been 17 at the time). There are probably many people with the same name in Utah. Pointing at his parents politics makes little sense either.

    To be honest it all sounds like a load of cope from Reddit and Bluesky because “one of their own” may have just killed a political commentator, and they want to deflect at all costs to claim some moral high ground and muddy the waters.

    The part that’s really going to screw the left or liberals over is the public reaction over the past few days, and not necessarily the motives of the suspect. 1000s of people have likely been already fired because the right is straight up doxxing everyone who celebrated the killing of Kirk and contacting their employers, and bragging about getting them fired. With so many liberals posting (under their real name and profile photo) about how glad they are that Kirk died, it’s like shooting fish in a barrel for the right wing doxxers. This kind of thing (openly celebrating death of political opponents) is severely off putting for most apolitical/normal people, which is why so many people are losing their jobs . Kirk could have died in his sleep at this point, the reaction has sealed it.

    The one thing I find really sad is his parents Facebook posts being plastered all over the internet. By all accounts this kid had a good life and was doing well, and threw it all away to assassinate a political commentator. That’s just sad.
