I was wearing a sports bra that gave me more of a distinct shape for passing reasons in the beginning. But after more than a year and a half on hormones, I’m starting to have pretty distinct breasts.

I have some women around me that have pretty strong opinions about not wearing bras. And I understand. Sometimes me or the people I know get weird looks in the street because some people can see that we’re not wearing bras and there are clothes and… I don’t think this should be our problem. It sounds like it’s a problem on the people looking at us, not on us. They’re just tits, get over it.

That being said, I don’t really have that much of a strong opinion about it, and to be completely honest, I’m not really sure what’s the point of a bra for me? I feel like they’re too small to justify wearing a bra? I’m actually not sure of when I should start, or even if I should start at all…

It’s strange, nobody taught me these things. My body is changing and morphing and well, nobody really taught me or prepared me for any of what’s happening to me, I’m kind of like left to fend off on my own and I’m relying on my other women’s friend, whether they’re cis or trans, but some questions I’m a bit too scared of asking. Or ashamed.

On one hand, I feel like it’s basic stuff that I should already know that on the other hand… well, it doesn’t feel basic at all. :/

i wear pushup bras on dates, sports bras when i exercise and bralettes or regular old bra if i’m nipping out. Since lesrning about bralettes they are my favorite because they are like a cute mini tank top when it gets too warm!

I Generally only wear one when leaving the house, or if I’m having company besides close friends (or I’m dressing nice for a party or something) I’ll wear one at home too. When I get home one of the first things I do is take it off. I wear a 34D, and unless I’m being especially active, I’m generally comfortable without a bra.

I wear one most of the day when I’m going to be up and moving since I’m a little top heavy and I already have back pain from other stuff. I usually take it off at the end of the day until bedtime and I don’t sleep in one. Sometimes if I’m being ultra lazy on a day off, I won’t put one on, but if I’m doing chores of any sort I have to wear it.

I am lucky in that, the size VS put me in for the first time was my actual size. I’ve always made sure to get the right size and I never have issues with underwire or anything. But, I also use clothing bags to wash them hang dry all my bras, so that helps keep them from bunching and they are comfortable for longer. I don’t buy VS bras anymore though because it’s hard to find my awkward size there.

I’m almost always without a bra because I struggle to find ones that fit :( I tried a bra that fits but if you check the page where they describe the reasons it might be off it lists everything about my body :P Stores can’t help as they don’t have my likely size.

I have some nice ones without a cup that I wear under stuff when I don’t want to poke anyone’s eyes out with my mega nips.

Edit: I also have one which if I attach two extenders fits! It’s padded and a bit too roomy so I wear it when I want to look like I have bigger boobs, but I suspect it doesn’t look natural under most clothes. Those prosthetics you glue on look way better.

I also have trouble finding bras that fit (we both know why), so far I’ve found bralettes in generic sizes like XL are more likely to fit and work. Nobody manufactures bras that would fit my band and cup size, so wearing bras that are designed to fit a variety of sizes has worked best for me.

Nearly all the time, it feels weird without one? I like the less structural ones and more comfy casual ones when just at home doing nothing, like the pull over ones with padded inserts (I really wish I understood the science of how the washing machine puts both pads on one side).

There was a time when I’d only wear a bra when going out of the house and when exercising. Horribly uncomfortable, sometimes painful, and I couldn’t wait to be out of it.

…and then I found a bra I really like, that’s the perfect balance between comfort and support, and now I’m way more comfy in them than out of them and wear bras nearly all the time.

Also, shout-out to Branwyn, who makes the best bra in the world lol.

I like that it’s not an under-wire bra, but I still get really good support. The v-shape and strap goes with almost any neckline, and the super breathable Merino wool material has really saved me during the really hot summers where I live. Plus getting more time between washes is really nice too.

I usually don’t get dressed for the day until after breakfast, so unless the weight of them is annoying me I am braless until maybe 9 in the morning. And then I wear it until I get ready for bed. I don’t sleep in it at night, and if I take a nap during the day I’ll usually take it off then too. My bras are generally comfortable but I do get tired of the underwire after a while.

Without: almost always when lounging around. With few exceptions, always when sleeping. Occasionally when I am going to the store and do not give any fucks.

With: if I am having a particularly bad upper back pain day. All formal and business events.

Now, if you asked me when my boobs were smaller, or before I found properly fitting bras, I’m sure my answers would be different. A garment that actually holds them up is a game changer. I have legitimately had headaches melt away with a brand new, well-fitting bra.
