He and his wife were so shocked and horrified by Jeff that Howard kept doing stuff with him for another decade plus after the supposed interaction in 2005 that had them so verklempt:

Lutnick said he and his wife left and decided that he would never be in a room with Epstein again. He further said that he was never with Epstein socially, for business, or through philanthropy.

      Oh, what’s this?

Records released in 2026 contradicted the ordinary meaning of that account. They documented attempts to communicate after Epstein’s 2008 conviction, an in person meeting in 2011, a social visit to Little Saint James in 2012, shared participation in an investment, philanthropic and fundraising intersections, and direct correspondence in 2018.

The conservatives made another oopsie-doodle! No big deal, the Murc’s Law Media should probably pivot to some bOtHsIdEs story, for balance, stat…

Be me. Try to do the right thing. Do what society tells me. Work hard. Get hit in the face by the rock of life and am stumbling hard.

Be them. Worst of the worst, crimes against absolutely everyone and everything. Reach the pinnacle of success.

I really think the Germans need to come up with a new word for the contrast I’ve stated.

As a kid I got the idea of job hopping, switching companies every few years for more money. My dad said, ‘if you try to climb too fast you’ll break your neck’.

Turns out… No, the most successful people are absolutely the ones who are so completely full of shit and talk from both sides of their mouth and do what they condemn for everyone else with great gusto.

I’ve been in IT for many years. At least when markets are not like they are right now, moving to another job was absolutely the way to get market wages.

Being the “nice guy” and sticking around for “loyalty to the company” (lol) just fucks over the worker. It’s not unethical to vote with your feet.

I’ve been in situations where people try to manipulate good people into thinking that it is.

No single words, and nothing that seems too interesting in German, but there’s a good Cantonese phrase that encompasses that sentiment:

      殺人放火金腰帶,修橋補路無屍骸

shā rén fàng huǒ jīn yāo dài, xiū qiáo bǔ lù wú shī hái

Roughly, “murder and arson earn a gold belt; doing good deeds (lit. building bridges and repairing roads) leaves no corpse (i.e. no one can find your body to bury properly).

The average American Trump supporter is a gun toting, neoliberal, bear shooting, death penalty supporting, misogynist, who believe that LGBT people should be stoned to death Old Testament style, a white supremacist, anti-vaccine, climate change denying, anti-evolution, anti- science, flat earth believing, pro-life, anti- intellectual, sanctimonious evangelical Christian, Islamophobic bigot. Chem trail obsessive, xenophobic and a racist. Also ignorant, stupid, perverted and possibly demented.

Your accurate yet unavoidably incomplete list made me reflect on how much the term “pro-life” is inaccurate while also being propaganda spin bullshit. It is literally the term for a policy of the death cult wing of american politics. I know I’m preaching to the choir here, but god damn.

I am a nature lover and animal lover. I come from a conservative redneck-ish family and one very strong correlation throughout my life has been that the more conservative somebody is, the more likely they are to openly brag about how much they would NOT spend money to help their own pets. Or even about how they would shoot them (usually a dog) if they ever did X.

But that is part of a much larger package deal where those people define themselves by the things they hate and activities they avoid.

I’m not saying this is true or isn’t true.

But the article does credit Katie Johnson as the source and there is reasonable doubt as to whether she even exists. The only person who claims to have spoken to her is a Jerry Springer Story Producer.

What We Know About Origins of Trump Child Rape Allegations

The reason why I say this is I think it’s important to be factual even when making allegations against scum like Trump. Any false rumor we spread is another victory for MAGA and the right. It’s a way for them to convince more people that the left is evil.

That’s not really enough to prove much. There are two paragraphs on that page and one of them seems inaccurate.

Two facts reinforce the credibility of Johnson’s claims. First, at the time of Johnson’s

statements to FBI, Jeffrey Epstein was not yet the infamous public figure he was to become. Thus,

if Johnson had fabricated the incident in an attempt to embarrass Donald Trump politically—as

President Trump’s campaign claimed—it is unclear why she would have made Epstein the primary

and slightly more violent perpetrator in her account

Trump was running for office when this accusation occurred in 2016. And his relationship with Epstein was already known. Remember Epstein had already been in trouble for under age sexual assault prior to 2010.

I want to be clear, I’m not saying Katie Johnson is or isn’t real. I’m just saying it’s not the nail in the coffin that we think it is.

What is the source for this video? None of the links in the description include this video.

The link to the court case shows that Katie Johnson was completely unreachable by the court system and letters were repeated returned to sender.

Snopes and the Guardian researched Katie Johnson and neither were able to find credible claims.

I’m not saying she doesn’t exist only that there is reasonable doubt here.

This video was out when I first joined reddit around 2016. Not only was she real, but there is a witness. Also, there are plenty of verifications during that time period. You can say that you don’t believe her, but you can’t say it’s not real.

Mason signed on this week to represent the plaintiff, who filed her complaint as “Jane Doe,” according to court records. He is best known as the defense attorney for Casey Anthony, the Florida woman acquitted on charges of killing her 2-year-old daughter in 2008.

Donald Trump is accused of having forcible sex with the plaintiff while attending a party at the NYC apartment of convicted billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, according to the complaint. The plaintiff also claims that Epstein raped her twice at two such parties.

Two witnesses provided affidavits filed by the plaintiff under the names “Joan Doe” and “Tiffany Doe” that back up the woman’s story.

“Joan Doe” claims that the plaintiff told her about the assaults in 1994–95 shortly after they are alleged to have occurred.

I don’t think it’s fair to say that he’s saying he doesn’t believe her. He’s saying that it’s not easy to prove her existence. Just because you ask for facts and evidence does not mean that you side with the accused. That would mean that the whole justice system sides with the accused at all times because they require facts and evidence in a court of law.

I can say Katie Johnson might not be real because if you had read the article I linked to, you would know that Norm Lubow is the person who actually filed the lawsuit, not Katie Johnson.

Norm Lubow was also pretending to be someone named Al Taylor, who was also aggressively pushing the accusation with journalist.

Even Radar Online, which is linked in the post here is a known gossip site that didn’t believe Katie Johnson story to be credible either.

The gossip site Radar Online published a short story on April 28, 2016, noting the filing, but even it was skeptical, highlighting the fact that the person filing the claim had given apparently bogus contact information, using the address of a foreclosed house whose owner had recently died.

How does that work, filing a lawsuit on someone’s behalf, without the court being able to even verify their existence? That doesn’t make too much sense to me. She would have testify, no? It seems otherwise that’d be a pretty glaring issue with the justice system, if you can just make up people to represent without identifying them?

Thank you for providing a detailed and skeptical response.

I have fallen victim of sharing/spreading political claims without enough due diligence.

We must ensure that credibility is the most important criteria. Otherwise, even the most spurious claims are used to frame things against other evidence.

Fuck Trump forever, he is a pedophile. We must pursue the highest standards of evidence to compel the Judiciary.

And the rabid knee jerk reactions of a lot of people make them more and more like MAGA. Staying skeptical and asking for evidence is a good thing, that’s how society works. Otherwise we’re just going into actual witchcraft accusations where the accusers are always and by default in the right and beyond reproach, which does not make for a great society to live in.

Those people were always on the side of the tyrants. What they meant by tyranny was the tyranny of democracy and rule of law. They don’t like that at all since Lincoln freed the slaves. And after the civil war they just kept waging it by other means, for over a century. They never stopped fighting, and now they are in power, because they know that democracy can be easily corrupted over time with money.

Non-voters lack deductive reasoning. They fail to understand that if Harris doesn’t win, Trump wins. They can’t grasp that eliminating one option leaves only the alternative.

Perhaps if they banded together, they could get support for a third candidate. It would be difficult but I suppose trying would have been better than refusing to vote against fascism.

They don’t like the rules of the game, so they refused to play

You aren’t capable of doing the math on a 2 party, 1st past the post election but you’re “capable of winning elections” and you’re gonna “carry” folks? Get the fuck out of here with that delusional bullshit.

This is why I keep whipping out the perjoratives. There are single celled creatures showing more reading comprehension then this cult. You lost the fucking election relying on a false assumption of voter behavior and all you are doing is enforcing the demonstrated observation that you dont get how elections work.

You donʻt understand how elections work. Just shut the fuck up and stay the fuck out. This shit is too complicated for you.

I didn’t lose shit. I’m not a rah-rah DNC supporter and I didn’t have shit to do with all the brain dead decisions by the DNC that helped get us to this point. You don’t know me and you can fuck right off with that noise.

Once we have a choice between center right, status quo candidate and far right, authoritarian, racist, rapist, felonious, pedophile, the choice is clear to anyone who isn’t a toddler throwing a tantrum. I hate that the DNC refused to take a moral stand against Palestinean genocide but I’d bet everything I own that there would be more Palestineans alive today under President Harris. Do you think we are better off now that one of our few unequivically anti genocide representatives is being threatend with deportation?

The world is a terrible messy moral minefield and the US political system is absolute shit but reasonable, responsible adults accept reality and try to navigate towards the best possible outcomes. Stop acting like a sullen child. I hope you don’t live in a swing state.

Its fucking irrelevant because Biden and Harris DID sponsor a genocide. Voters don’t fucking vote based on what you decide harm reduction to be. They see two pieces of shit doing a genocide and they say “No.”, which is what they did. The concept of “harm reduction” is fucking astrology for lincoln republicans. Voters don’t fucking vote that way, if you even accept that Harris was “harm reduction” (She was literally in the seat of power and did nothing, so miss me that Harris or Biden were “harm reduction”).

Harm reduction is fucking irrelevant because its not how voters vote. They saw one genocide supporting candidate, rejected them, and the party establishment handed them a second one. That strategy, which depended a, frankly, white supremacist vision of “harm reduction”, lost the fucking election.

So no. The only option was to get the candidate to change their position. There was no other path.

It’s vile, it doesn’t belong to us, they just latched on and now we can’t get rid of them. If I was conspiratorial I’d say it’s a psyop because they’ve done nothing but harm to the real left, to the workers, to the proletariat, to actual humanitarian change, it’s all performative purity testing bullshit.

It’s like a little club they made for themselves, more like being part of a band fanclub or console fanboys than having anything to do with actual politics and creating an equitable society for all. It’s fucking ridiculous.

I personally don’t know that the witness in the story is credible or actually even real. There is real evidence to believe she was a made up by Jerry Spring producer Norm Lubow.

No one else has ever seen her in person. Once she was supposed to have an in person interview but canceled it and would only have a phone call instead.

I’m not saying I don’t think Trump is guilty of some really heinous shit, just that this specific witness doesn’t seem to be real.

No reasonable person is enthusiastic to go public with rape allegations against Trump, go on TV and talk about them, etc. and get MAGA death threats for the rest of their life and go down in history for it. I would not consider remaining private as credibility points either way. That’s like saying someone is guilty because they plead the 5th.

Half of voters are not fine with this.

Most think the same as you. Trump’s campaign promises were no war and releasing the Epstein files after Biden did absolutely nothing and sat on them for four years.

We’ve been betrayed by bOtH pArTiEs over the last eight years (and before that, for that matter)… because they’re BoTh all over the Epstein files.

We don’t have a “No Epstein” party in the USA, that is not allowed. We just have two corrupt shit parties.

(I’m not making random claims, either. We do have some information, like flight logs. Democrats and Republicans found common ground somehow and fucking loved that plane and the young girls on it).

Exactly this. It’s amazing how we start seeing the “both parties” rhetoric right around election seasons. But then they vanish afterwards, when they help get the vile fucks elected. It’s honestly astounding how people see clear evidence of the orange slimeball hurting children, and go “oh but the other side is just better at hiding it, so I might as well keep voting for the orange slimeball instead.” It’s the most asinine, cretinous, sophomoric line of reasoning imaginable.

Biden didn’t release them because there was an ongoing investigation keeping them sealed. Trump ended the investigation as part of his coverup. Good job preempting the fUnNy tExT though.

Honestly, probably a non zero amount, but I can assure you that the dem voters would actually care if it came out.

The Weiner scandal was actually a scandal and he served time. I’m not willing to go to bat for dem politicians (though I’d pick a random D over a random R politician any day), but I’ll definitely back dem voters on the whole for actually having some degree of standards or morals, which does generally lead to accountability.

I think that’s the main difference, because even if Rs and I disagreed, if they actually had morals we would not have found ourselves here. A bunch of Rs referred to Trump as a Hitler-like fascist and then bent the knee because the R voters didn’t care. It’s not that our politicians are somehow morally superior, though on the whole they definitely are, it’s that the actual base cares about the things they say they care about.

they are probably voting for him again right now

He’s not up for re-election and not on the ballot. Only a subset of Congress is. A Democratic majority in Congress would not mean we get a new president, nor does it make it possible to impeach and remove the current one. Also, neither snap elections nor no-confidence votes are a thing here.

It seems a lot of non-US people watching from a distance have higher hopes than they should about the significance of this midterm election, due to not really understanding how the US system works and/or thinking it’s a parlimentary system like a normal modern democracy.

Which is why the European / Canadian “OMG dO sOmEtHiNg you pussies!!! No…? Guess you’re all fine with fascism then…!” commenters are especially irritating because there’s really only one way he doesn’t stay in office until Jan 2029, and that’s already been tried unsuccessfully, and just gets you president Vance anyway. Or president Johnson, if you managed a two-for one. A different president before 2029 is not a possible outcome of protesting- any amount of protesting. Those “No Kings” events are just cargo-cult civil disobedience for liberal boomers to virtue signal at. They have no demands to make, no credible threat of escalation if the demands are ignored, and no reason for the regime to take them seriously.

Voting republican in this election is voting for Trump in spirit, it is showing continued support. Everyone knows this is what people mean when they talk about voting for or against Trump in this election. The only exception I would allow is if they’re voting for a really good local republican candidate who isn’t aligned with Trump

Yup, unironically, Republicans need to be bullied and treated like shit. Being associated with the Republican Party should come with the very same stigmas being a child rapist comes with.

Not going ham on Republicans is implicit approval of their actions, imo. In the same way of letting a Nazi sit at your table, or join your group.

I disowned all the Republicans I knew two years ago, and never looked back. Being in Utah, though, means there’s not a lot of people still left in my life. Oh well, the cost of having principles, right?

I disagree with many other things you said but this part is right on.

Only correction is that they’re not boomer events. Come on. Boomers are not leaving the house at this point.

I agree with most of your points except that a large enough display of civil disobedience should instigate change. If people are willing to literally block the streets, strike and shut down the economy in enough major cities, changes will be made. The Short list of demands should be made clear and begin with impeach, arrest, and prosecute pedophile Trump.

The “large enough display of civil disobedience” would just be outright civil war. We already know that Republican voters are happy to accept the razing of “Liberal hellholes” (every major city in the country) based on the messaging around Seattle and Portland in 2020.

Technically speaking if enough seats in Congress flipped to Democrats they could push an impeachment and prosecution through but that still hinges on the Executive and Judicial branches cooperating, and then there’s the military to consider. What we really need is a bunch of agricultural states to change so we can make some Constitutional Amendments but they’ve all been gerrymandered to fuck so that’s not a realistic goal either.

You outnumber the police and you’re armed to the teeth. “The US military would just crush the population” argument is not particularly convincing either. You assume the military is some perfectly unified, ruthlessly efficient machine, which doesn’t describe the US military in foreign wars, let alone a domestic one.

Even the shitty GOP is unwilling to tolerate prolonged ground wars, casualties, recruitment problems, political backlash, and occupations of populations that are actually hostile to it. Yet somehow we are supposed to believe that the same institution would suddenly function flawlessly whe turned against your own citizens? The assumption that everyone would simply follow orders indefinitely while Americans were being killed in huge numbers is absurd. There’s a reason you haven’t sent soldiers in to occupy Tehran.

Eventually they would run into a very simple problem- if armed resistance was genuinely widespread, half-measures would not settle it. It would either have to escalate to levels of violence sufficient to kill Americans on an enormous scale, potentially millions, or it would have to back down / simply stop functioning. You also have the fact that your military has never been more poorly managed than it is right now.

Yes, the US military has vastly more firepower than civilians. Congratulations. Nobody disputes that. The question is whether it could politically, institutionally, and psychologically use that firepower against its own population on the scale necessary to win such a conflict- and if it’s your position that your own military WOULD do that to you, and that is why you are choosing not to act? Great- then your political morality is just one in which the government’s entitlement to your obedience increases in direct proportion to how willing it is to fucking kill you.
