Some people think that it is (i’m not one of those people) but hey, maybe I’m wrong. I was also told a taco and a wrap are sandwiches. I also disagree
Thoughts? Don’t turn this into some weird ass struggle session where someone gets banned it’s not worth it
Only if you fold it. Pizza should always be folded (even tomato pies). So yes.
Don’t turn this into some weird ass struggle session where someone gets banned it’s not worth it
A stack of rocks is a sandwich
An outdoor cat is a sandwich.
john kerry is a sandwich
Ceci n’est pas une pipe.

I’m gonna hijack this 2013 reddit thread. Get out, grandpa.
It’s now a character ideas thread (or a Guy Zoo). Guy with a bus stop fetish: “Yeah this is where I get off”
Guy who clones his dog until it gets good at basketball
I didn’t post this because of reddit I posted it because I asked someone “if i stick these two unrolled flautas together, is it a sandwich” and i didn’t like where their answer went
Guy who records himself doing crimes but posts them with SORA watermark for plausible deniability
Guy who doesn’t mind pooping in toilets away from home but really feels uncomfortable peeing in any other toilet so he has to sneakily pee outside when away from home, but also leave nasty turds in others’ toilets
This has rattled me to my core
“if i stick these two unrolled flautas together, is it a sandwich”
Thats a quesadilla!!
I’m so tired
it’s pie actually
the way I eat it it is
fold your slices, people; twice the pizza per bite
put french fries on it now it’s a combo meal
any major source of protein makes it a hamburger (distinct from sandwich)
we only have chopsticks
is sushi a sandwich?
rice krispies are bread
A burger is a subset of a sandwich with anything that is ground up and made into a patty, intended to be served on a bun whereby one bun cannot make multiple burgers.
A patty melt, for instance, is outside the burger category.
a hamburger is anything served with a side of french fries
what if i get butternut squash soup with a side of french fries
hamburger helper
Brooklyn style yes, Detroit style no. Chicago style no.
Chicago style being the best pizza.
downvotes are a sandwich
I have always been of the opinion that a sandwich has its ingredients added as linear planes, whereas a hotdog has its ingredients added in a radial manner about an axis. By this definition, a pizza as it is traditionally imagined has its ingredients added in a circle about its center. Therefore, a pizza is a hot dog.
Is sushi also a hotdog? 🤔🤔🤔
depends if there’s hotdog in it
Of course
Behold. This is loaded top down and this therefore neither sandwich nor hot dog.
CW:meat

this is topologically a pizza
It’s missing the bounded edge (crust)
This is just a circumcised hot dog
In the field of Food Onomastics, we refer to any food that is just meat and bread in an unconventional formulation as Struggle And Diet cuisine. Because that is just SAD.
But this contains multiple condiments. It has all the ingredients necessary to make it a hot dog.
That looks like the driest piece of meat possible, but taking your word for it, I fully agree it is a hot dog. If dipped in condiments instead, and this may be a hot take, but I would call it a nugget.
No no, you put the condiments in the bread and then you put in the sausage. The bread contains the condiments. There’s usually ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise in it. (Well, not so much mayonnaise as a mayonnaise like dressing specifically for the purpose which is like half mayonnaise, a quarter sauce bernaise and the rest is onions, garlic and “curry” in whatever ratio)
Fascinating. And here I thought I had seen everything. This is scientifically interesting, as this is the missing link between an ice cream cone and the traditional hotdog. Thus, both this and ice cream cones are hot dogs.
You may be on to something. Does that go for both traditional scooped ice cream and soft serve?
I would call it a nugget
i would agree but it’s not entirely encapsulated
Are french hot dogs not a thing in the US??
dude what the fuck
All French food is SAD
mother sauces? your mom sauces
if you bite the dog and pull it out of the bun does it make a slide whitle sound?
a kebab is a hot dog?
Great question: On the skewer a kebab is a corn dog, removed from the skewer and served on a bed of rice it is a very hearty salad
I think they may be referring to the inestimable doner kebab and its allies such as gyros, shawarma, etc.
Of course! How could I forget! In this case, the axis of rotation in at the bread, so that counts as a hot dog

I think classifying a pizza as a sandwich is ingredient neutral, but one further step below structural rebel.
not until you fold the slices
I’m in the ‘sandwiches have to be at least two slices of bread’ club.
Shoot me. Pun intended
According to the USDA, pizza does not meet the definition of sandwich - “at least 35% cooked meat and no more than 50% bread” for closed sandwiches, and “at least 50% cooked meat” for open sandwiches.
According to the British Sandwich Association - any form of bread with a filling, generally assembled cold, meets the definition of sandwich, which pizza is not as it is not cold or filled.
As there are two and only two definitions of sandwich, there you go.
what the carnivorus fuck are the USDA on how could vegetarian sandwiches not be sandwiches
‘Gonna need to see your license for that PBJ’
probably different rules for non-meat sandwiches
even a BLT isn’t that percentage meat
Department of Agriculture isn’t it? They are just representing their clientele.
So what you are saying is that fried chicken is a sandwich?
I’m eating pizza right now, it’s folded in half and they are playing music in Spanish so it’s a taco
