my-hero ”Belief in a god is illogical. This is why I believe in realistic things like a tunnel for cars, bipedal robot slaves in every home, solar power generating roof tiles, uhh, fully automated self suck, the thai kid submersible, terraforming mars, and the ‘war of civilizations’ between the West and the Muslim East. It’s le science.”

More of that western christofascist alignment that several supremacist types align themselves with. Especially the atheist ones

I came up with “culturally Christian” to describe myself (atheist but does the Christian holidays) like three minutes before the fascists started using it and ruined it. Very annoyed with them.

Mostly just a white supremacist dog whistle. The whole clash of civilisations thing.

Same reason we get Kash Patel saying ‘See you in Valhalla’ about Charlie Kirk. It is all just cosplay.

Which is so annoying given that the vikings and muslims were pretty chill with one another. (For bad reasons, sure, the shared love of the slave trade was obviously bad) But a reason we know so much about the vikings is muslims writing shit down, and there’s a bunch of islamic world treasure in viking burial sites.
