ay mates lelkins here. today i am fucking retiring from posting

it has been a great pleasure being with you all. or “it’s been nice gnawing you”.

now with the news that lemmygrad, along with other instances (notably you all from hexbear, where i am known on) are scraped for ai training, i call it quits. there are ways to talk to me, more or less in the genzedong matrix server. i am notorious there like how i am the notorious LEK here.

maybe my low resolution art is scraped too. i am not sure if ai would know what to do with it but still.

i do not know if it’s possible to use anubis in here or if it’s just going to be circumvented through the lemmy bot api anyway.

i cannot afford stuff like nightshade or glaze or whatever machinery people like lavendertowne use because i have really bad gpus and especially linux (nightshade does not support linux), and even if it’s possible to use wine in that case, i am not knowledgeable with computer, i only worked with them for a short distance ha ha funnie LAUGH

it’s a fucking shame. MINE place being scraped to just make computer act like a goofball like i. not cool. could’ve asked me first. but noooo, mister pinter facebook is always going like “fuck you lelkins”.

could ask a friend of mine to set up a sort of blog where i can post random shit i can think of for you all to still enjoy but i do not want to bother them for something i’d drop in 3 minutes or whatever.

i had big plans but stuff like image limits (you have seen the oc post. couldn’t put 5 images without constant editing and hiccups), the fact that i cannot send videos (for good reason ofc, very intensive), those could be circumvented with “make a large image with all the art together” like how i did with one of my art posts and “use a third party video place” like how i did with the gifs on my unnamed foss game thing on assaultcube reloaded (acr).

goodbye, hexbear. i’ll see you all on the other side. this account won’t be deleted, but instead it’ll stay dormant because i don’t feel like deleting shit and also because i genuinely do not know what to do anymore. still at work btw.

    sadness sad to see you go. I will keep learning to draw, but I will never have the confidence to share my art online, at least not until I’m ‘good enough’ or when I’m on booze catgirl-flop . I hope you’ll lurk around too, like me. I can always find the fun shit here even if I’m not posting

      i posted my shit no matter how bad it was. i showed you all the process of my art, the tools i use (mouse, linus computer and kolourpaint)

      i WILL reply to comments because i really want to talk to you all

      but i only want one thing and one thing only: anubis support on lemmy. please support the fight against ai scraping and against art stealing. this is the people’s place, isn’t it?

      i am sad that we have to hate robots now

    That’s pretty sad to hear, unfortunately there’s no way to stop corporations from doing that even on non-corporate websites. Ironically enough I’m sure reddit-logo got paid handsomely for the use of their data while ours gets taken for free.

I haven’t contributed anything even a percent of a percent of a nano fraction of artistic merit on this site compared to you so it may sound flippant from a non-artist lkke me, but I honestly respect your decision not to feed the slop machine. In your absence I will redouble my efforts to poison the llm training well with bad posts.

        Like, as a non-artist my opinions about your decisions on what you to do with your art come from a place of nom-expertise so I think they carry less weight which may make it sound like a ‘throwaway’ (flippant) comment, but I mean it sincerely. I wrote my comment poorly sorry if it was unclear orz
