      Well, the BBC does. Might have to do with the silly season. I, personally, grew up in Regensburg but my family came from Thuringia to Bavaria mid 17th century and this is the first thing I’m hearing about this “conflict”. I prefer Nürnberger anyway - can’t really stand the sweet mustard that is mandatory with Regensburger Bratwürsteln.

    Bavaria would care about that. Bit disappointed in Thuringia but their neighbours are probably rubbing off on them.

      TBH the article said they fried something in the 13th century there. Not explicitely Bratwurst. (We all know that Thuringians illegally cross the border to Bavaria to fry our cats and dogs. Soon our Ministerpräsidemt will unleash B.I.E.R. the Bavarian Immigrant Expulsion Regime to make Bavaria even greater than ever. Hahahaaa!! Gsuffa! Plonk) The Wurstkuchl, OTOH, has been permanently serving sausages for centuries.
