I, personally, grew up in Regensburg but my family came from Thuringia to Bavaria mid 17th century and this is the first thing I’m hearing about this “conflict”. I prefer Nürnberger anyway - can’t really stand the sweet mustard that is mandatory with Regensburger Bratwürsteln.
