You can and should be anti Zionist but it’s wrong to think that antisemitism is somehow meaningless or not worth talking about when it is legitimate, just because they use it as a bullshit excuse doesn’t mean it doesn’t still happen pretty often too.
Israel was already in works before the holocaust - it only solidified Zionism in the surviving european jewish population and gave western states a very “good” reason to support israel without limits.

Just to prove that we need to be careful about antisemitic infiltration, this was an escalation from a previous piece of vandalism where someone had put up “kill all Zionists”, which the company also refused to do anything about (and while that’s fair given, y’know, Zionists, the fact that the follow up was a literal hate crime I think does paint a picture of what’s going on there)

yes it’s disappointing. 2 years ago as the genocide in gaza escalated, a western-iranian friend of mine was pretty anti-palestine and I was bringing them around to a more historically coherent, anti-genocide perspective. after the attacks yesterday I reached out to offer support and they’ve veered off into blaming religion. it’s pretty disappointing. I can only imagine the level of iranian chud discourse right now. I hope that after the shock of this vile attack wears off that I can talk them around to a more materialist understanding that differentiates zionism from judaism
