Imho, mass shootings are kinda like an unintended yet encouraged psyop used to redirect any potentially subversive, let alone any TRUE organized energy and violence against the the settler-colonial pure bourgeois-imperialist base of Amerikkka and its gov’t, towards other scapegoats,

By the social atomization of its people from each other, and the resulting false consciousness and motivations of stochatic terrorism that comes from it…

It’s definitely a byproduct of atomization.

The fact theres a zillion guns and its easy to get one just makes it easier to enact and makes them potentially more deadly, but we know that’s not the whole story. The right wants to hamdwave it on “mental health” which of course they don’t care about unless it means they can criminalize mental health issues.

We all know there has to be some other thing (except for full on anti-gun lib nerd , just another part of their big data/ common sense reform fetish). But in the US we can’t talk about that thing because its a direct critique of capitalism.

You’re probably right. I’m amazed how reactionaries think the solution to what they see as problems with the world is to shoot up schools, churches, or whatever. They never go after the people they think are causing problems. The closest I can think of was that Pizzagate guy who went to the pizza restaurant because he thought children were locked in the basement (there was no basement and he killed a bunch of people for nothing).

With how much time they spend complaining about Soros or Only Fans, you’d think they’d go after the people in charge.
