Been saying this since his first term: he has been looking for an excuse to let a nuke off the chain.

He’s threatened it multiple times, and provoked situations that could have led to using one other times.

Only ONE country and president has ever used a nuclear weapon against actual human targets, and he wants to be seen as a big man by being the second. He has absolutely no idea what that means.

He wanted to use them on those illegal Iran strikes, and thankfully the military shut that down. The only thing between DONALD TRUMP, a failed businessman and reality TV persona launching another nuclear attack on this planet, and that not happening is just a few people.

Sit with that for a few minutes.

The second question here points to a response by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and then notes:

It makes me happy that an arm of the US government has, in some official capacity, issued an opinion on the subject of firing nuclear missiles into hurricanes.

        Aged like milk.

A fully developed hurricane can release heat energy at a rate of 5 to 20×10^13 watts and converts less than 10% of the heat into the mechanical energy of the wind. The heat release is equivalent to a 10-megaton nuclear bomb exploding every 20 minutes. According to the 1993 World Almanac, the entire human race used energy at a rate of 10^13 watts in 1990, a rate less than 20% of the power of a hurricane.

So a nuke would do squat to the hurricane, but kill us all from flinging the rads everywhere

To be fair, it probably would have stopped the hurricane.

As someone who is not educated in the topic I’m going to stick with my gut feeling over any scientific evidence.

He said it openly in his doddering idiocy more than a handful of times. This basically touches on that: https://www.kyivpost.com/post/54862

        Here’s another: https://m.economictimes.com/news/international/us/trump-considers-tactical-nuclear-bomb-on-irans-fordow-site-reports-claim-even-bunker-busters-wont-work-donald-trump-news-us-strike-iran-news/articleshow/121975184.cms

        And another: https://www.gulf-insider.com/tactical-nukes-not-off-the-table-for-trump/

I understand the sources, but these are quotes from shit being scrubbed from the Internet.
