For what legitimate purpose could Qatar have to put a military facility on Idaho? And Trump and Hegseth have absolutely no legitimate reason to allow it. Clearly payback for the bribery of the Plane and future bribes.

Imagine building military bases in foreign countries then freaking out when a foreign country builds a military base in yours: the US finally gets to know how it feels.

Exactly what expeditonary capacity does Qatar have? US based across Europe and Pacific are in compliance with NATO and other defensive treaties. US and Qatar have no such agreements. This entire deal is just Trump and co pocketing a bribe.

Exactly what “epiditionary capacity” does the US have? They don’t need permanent bases on foreign soil any more than foreign countries need bases on US soil. US taxpayers certainly don’t want to pay for all this armed forces bloat.

I mean the US is one of the few countries that can put like 30k dudes in country at the drop of a hat with thousands more coming right behind. It’s the only reason some countries dealt with us at all.

Those countries can learn to take care of themselves: the US doesn’t need to let them freeload by outsourcing armed services to the US instead of investing in their own. While all that US taxpayer spending to bloat the armed services isn’t appreciably improving US living standards with better social services (education, healthcare, poverty & work programs) or going to foreign aid, those countries investing less in their armed services from this arrangement get to dedicate more of their spending to improve their living standards with better social services.

Alliances don’t require permanent foreign bases: allies can train with & host partners on an as-needed basis when the occasion demands. US taxpayers would prefer to invest in better alternatives that appreciably improve their lives.

It’s also ironic to see some Americans whine about the military invasion of their cities while they’ve been doing much much worse in other countries, against international laws. It’s only appropriate to surround a building with helicopters in the middle of the night, invade their homes, force whole families outside and treat them like animals when it’s done by heroes finding WMDs in a country full of terrorists, not in American cities.

Close ally to President Trump, Laura Loomer, lamented the news after advocating that the administration declare the Muslim Brotherhood an international terrorist organization.

“Well, I guess this isn’t going to happen since we just gave the Muslim Brotherhood an air base in Idaho. So much for my decade worth of hard work trying to protect Americans from the threat of Islamic terror,” said Loomer about the new base.

    Lololol

“No foreign country should have a military base on U.S. soil,” she also said. “Especially Islamic countries. I have never felt more betrayed by the GOP than I do now watching Islamic jihadists get away with implementing Sharia law in the US and now they are getting their own airbase where they will train to kill Americans.”

Training bases like that are often put in remote areas where low flying and the noise doesn’t disturb that many people. Qatar is tiny and they can’t really practice at home that well.

The joke/issue that you seem to be missing is that Idaho, in general but that area specifically, bought hard into the islamophobia propaganda campaign that was part of the fascist power grab of the early 00s and has only doubled down since.

They weren’t justifying they were explaining the decision making process.

It’s important to know why things happen even if it’s for reasons you don’t agree with.

Singapore already has a base there for their F-15s, this isn’t anything new so the locals probably won’t care or even see the Qatari pilots.

I don’t agree with any of this but I also don’t think we should let the media manipulate us with bait that isn’t going to go anywhere.

We need to keep pressing Epstein, everything else is misdirection.

Jade Helm, back in '14/'15 was a massive military training exercise across the Southwest. We’d been saber rattling across North Africa and the Middle East for ages, so this was larger than normal but not inconsistent with US foreign policy. Just another day in the paradise of the imperial core.

But Republican influencers and spokesdorks jumped on it as an actual invasion of the territory being practiced over. Then several of the state governors chimed in, demanding that Obama halt his occupation of their states. We had a big rash of “Should Texas be allowed to secede?!” discourse. Obama issued an apology or some dumb shit. Republicans declared victory. Yadda yadda.
