I wouldn’t vote for him because of the association, if I still voted–which because of their bullshit I will not be doing again. Fuck the dems.
But mamdani’s policies seem pretty sensible and good, if milder than what we need.
I’m fine if his policies help some people but none of them are going to be implemented and I don’t vote for people running under the blue Nazi banner period.
:nothing-ever-happens:
that you don’t realize how radicalizing that will be for a lot of people really reaffirms my “hexbear users in general have literally no clue when it comes to propaganda” belief
It’s been “radicalizing” since Obama told his base to go fuck themselves 17 years ago. Nothing has changed. Let’s do something that actually works instead.
where do you think you got radicalized you nerd
Obama’s victory did radicalize a minority of americans to become more left wing but seems to have radicalized voting americans in most part to become more reactionary and elect trump, then biden, and then trump again.
Millions were starved, tortured, and killed during this time due to the actions of the american bourgeois around the world and in america itself. Ecocide is now a reality, and 1 million people, mostly children, were genocided en masse over the past 2 years by america and the west through their zionist proxy. There was no mass movement ready in america to prevent this.
Although Mamdani winning means that there is still scope for left wing politics amongst the american working class in new york, there should be no illusions about the total and complete impotency of electoralism as a strategy which will lead to the kind of revolutionary left wing action that can stop genocide, even by accident.
You’re not wrong but Obama again doesn’t really help us does it?
the difference between Mamdani and other dems is that he’s actually bothering to promise good things, so the argument here isn’t to vote for 99% hitler instead of 100% hitler like they try to do with presidential elections.
“Saying they’ll do some good things” is literally Obama. Why are you falling for it?
i’m not falling for shit, the rest of the party has stopped bothering to lie to us.
My mistake, sorry
also i should correct myself, he didn’t really run as the party the way that
and such; but it certainly appears they’ve sucked him in and are chewing up whatever good he had going into the primary. so it’s in a weird area where maybe “the rest of the party” wasn’t quite the right way to phrase that but it will become more accurate as he’s consumed by the apparatus.
