also i should correct myself, he didn’t really run as the party the way that and such; but it certainly appears they’ve sucked him in and are chewing up whatever good he had going into the primary. so it’s in a weird area where maybe “the rest of the party” wasn’t quite the right way to phrase that but it will become more accurate as he’s consumed by the apparatus.
