Authorities say conservative activist Charlie Kirk was killed by a single shot in a targeted attack during an outdoor event Wednesday at Utah Valley University.

Update 2: There is footage which shows Charlie Kirk taking what seems to be a fatal gunshot to the neck. I will not post it here.

Update 3: Hasan Piker watched the clip on stream and confirmed that Kirk took the fatal shot. Piker was visibly shaken as he was supposed to debate Kirk at Dartmouth University in 15 days.

        Leadership maybe. Rank and file Evangelicals are sobbing and baying for blood. Maybe they forget him after next week’s outrage comes out, maybe not but they’re definitely not making fun of him and he will remain in their minds a martyr of left intolerance no matter who the eventual shooter turns out to be IF they are even caught. There are definitely groyper types, Nazis, terminally irony-pilled ultra-online reactionaries who are doing that but I don’t think they make up anything approaching a majority in the Republican party.

          The rank and file Evangelicals can howl and bark all day, they’re cowardly lotus eaters to a man, it’s only the groypers who are deranged enough to engage in retributory violence and if they don’t care then this is a nothingburger like Butler was last year

          If Trump getting shot couldn’t rouse the base into acts of widespread stochastic terror, then Charlie Kirk who was already unpopular with much of the right-wing over his capitulation to the Epstein cover-up, won’t trigger it either

      Class based analysis over great man theory. There are a million Charlie Kirks, this materially doesn’t change much (except maybe scaring a few sophists out of making public appearances).
