matt and trey’s guiding political opinion seems to be that it’s dumb to care about things, so I’m sure they would agree with me not giving a shit if matt and trey get drone striked over this

the epstein scandal is culture wars fodder at best and a distraction at worse; most americans didn’t give a shit about it during the biden administration.

Do you not understand that there was a significant development in the story recently? This isn’t like kids in cages where there’s a status quo that existed under Obama and persisted under Trump, but news just covered it in the latter case because it was only expedient then. If nothing was going on with Epstein, it wouldn’t be the scandal that it is – one that many Republicans care about more than Dems. This was something that the Trump campaign itself worked to drum up and then brought upon itself by trying to tell us that Epstein got really sad about the crimes that he and his girlfriend committed completely in isolation.

People did care about it before – I certainly did – but there wasn’t that much going on since Maxwell’s conviction (which was during the Biden admin and did produce discussion).

Oh, and Hexbear cares that the the genuine reality of the terrible sex crimes committed by the bourgeoisie (etc.) delegitimizes them and reveals the bipartisan support for depravity.

I don’t think that people don’t care about it, but I’m also of the opinion that it ultimately won’t matter. How many “I wanna see Trump wriggle his way out of THIS jam!” theaters do we need to realize that it’s not going to make a difference?

I’m not sure what any of this has to do with South Park and “culture war” though.

The thing is, basically all of those theaters were in the realm of litigation, which I agree will never get Trump. What sets this apart aren’t the legal consequences for depraved acts that he will 99.999% never face, but the destruction that it has done to his base of support, which you can see progressing every single day. All the ““independent”” media that backs him has been in a frenzy wrestling with their audience who won’t accept things like Kirk saying “I’m choosing to trust my friends in the government”.
