    can’t believe this is an opinion that even needs mentioning because it’s so fucking obvious.

    Should we do something to avoid something like this happens again?

    a society that somehow needs those obvious statements to be said out loud is a very sick society

      It happens all the time if you continue to pay attention to events months or years after they occurred. There are people with focus, skills, and interest who dig in to understand disasters and complex factors that often create them.

      I guess you can argue that the initial political discussions kick off the resources that get actual solutions created down the line. It’s just sad to me that people get all riled up about crazy situations like the central Texas floods and when the actual analysis of the situation comes in later hardly anyone cares to read the reports or even give a shit about the proposed solutions.
