I’m so tired of explaining why I do not want to eat that disgusting squishy, drippy blushing slut of a vegetable. And no, I do not care that its a berry, fruit or an arthropod or whatever.
Picky eaters are oppressed minority. There I said it.
Mmm yes. A slice of a cold wet slimy produce on my hot fatty burger. Oooh yes please. I absolutely love the contrast of cold and hot; fat and slime.
If there’s anything that makes dining great, it’s opposites. And if there’s anyone with the skills to make opposites a gastronomical experience, it’s a line cook flipping burgers.
Modern commercial tomatoes suck and your pickiness is entirely justified and reasonable. There is no point to putting a shitty tomato on a burger if the texture is off putting to you.
after i gave up removing tomatoes from my burgers, (i never liked tomatoes in general, but i got lazy one time) i discovered it actually tastes pretty good… and then i took another bite out of the burger and the entire tomato just slipped out so i had to eat the entire thing, and yeah i dont like it
Yeah I’ll eat any type of tomato but raw ones. Dried? Love it. Sauce? Delightful. Put in a pan for 10 mins and topped with feta cheese? Taste great. But raw? Fucking disgusting. Put it in a burger? Ruins the whole thing especially if the tomato water gets into the bread. Stop ruining perfectly good food by adding raw tomatoes.

More of a McCum person then I take it?
Is it organically sourced?
Still warm or your money back 👍
I’d follow you into battle.
We ride at dawn, bring a canister of something flammable and a maid outfit

I’ve usually not had that issue with tomatoes, but lettuce? Lettuce is a bastard green.
thankfully the place i’ve been getting burgers cuts the lettuce into smaller pieces, so it’s not a problem
I disagree with you, but that comment was so beautifully written i simply had to upvote.

I like tomatoes, but I am a picky eater about a lot of other things! Picky eaters unite.
It seems you dislike the texture rather than the taste?
Tomatoes are actually a fruit, not a vegetable.
Picky eaters deserve to be oppressed and I’m tired of pretending they are not.
