Liberalism is not a defensible or serious ideology, it is literally zero action while feeling moral superiority.

The ideology of the ruling class haven’t ever been able to offer the lower class anything better then some nebulous salvation for obedience (going to the paradise or pulling yourself by your bootstraps). The first step to combat the frustration is understanding that those promises are lies and have never been serious.

The thing that annoys me the most is that liberals will try to stifle positive change the entire time leftists are putting in the effort to do it, and then they will 20 years later claim that they were the ones making the positive change. It’s baffling and enraging and fuck them all to death.

Presumably it is because liberals are in denial about what is happening. (you asked for liberals, I’m only about 50% liberal, hope that take is good enough.)

Even people at protests are talking about “getting everything back in 2026” like there’s going to be elections by then. It would be cute if it wasn’t so sad.

I don’t know to what extent the midterm elections can upset things in the united states. What probability would you assign to “there won’t be meaningful midterms in 2026”?

85%-90% because red states aren’t going to flip anything, and I don’t think there are enough flippable seats to make a difference. I would be surprised, and even if they do get a razor thin majority, what will they do under a Trump presidency? They will claim, same as they do now, that there’s nothing they can do.

What I meant to ask was, what is the probability you would assign to free and fair elections not happening. (Or would you consider the new ID requirements already so stringent that the elections can no longer be said to be fair?)

Is the solution to the contradiction that we should fight right wing fascism in the United States and also support Ukraines defense against a Russian invasion?

No because it is an unwinnable war and those guns we keep sending them keep ending up in the hands of Nazi paramilitaries and not just in Ukraine. They have been found in the possession of Nazi groups elsewhere in europe already. The people in eastern Ukraine deserve self determination too and if they want to be part of the RF because their own government has been slaughtering them for going on 11 years now ever since the US backed fascist coup then so be it.

Who the fuck is supporting right wing fascism? Other than the Dems since they spent quite a lot of money both in 2016 and 2024 propping up far right wing candidates in local elections to prevent left wing candidates from being successful.

“The Republicans may be fascists, but at least they’re American fascists which makes them the lesser evil to foreigners. How else are we supposed to defeat foreigners halfway across the globe if we don’t capitulate to domestic fascists?”

Don’t people get tired of chasing ghosts? The libs don’t matter, they barely even fucking exist. It’s 2025

Like, there’s so much more pressing and interesting shit to talk about, right?

this entire website is collectively buttblasted by their experience growing up in 2010s suburban flyover mayoville America (to be fair can’t be blamed for this)

They don’t realize how much all the narratives have changed in just 4 years

they’re like the immigrants who idolize their country of origin as some “trad paradise” when really everyone’s doing the same american debauchery shit there too. People unironically living in 2017

I mean. This guy is joining the 3 plate club for benching and squatting. I’m getting my destroyed spine ready for the actual fight when it comes down to it. I’m getting back into fighting shape.
