This looks fantastic. I’m kinda new in the fediverse, but I really hope this gets off if reddit doesn’t back off their API policies.

For now, I have a suggestion, which would be creating a community for cube, and a question, which is: When I try to create a post, there’s a text box with URL before it, and I’m just puzzled for what should I put there and what purpose it serves. Thanks.

      Welcome and great questions!

I can absolutely make a Cube community, I originally bundled it with Limited but I’ll make it now.

When posting, I believe you can optionally include a link in the URL box for your post if you want to link to another website. I agree the current Lemmy UI has quite a few necessary improvements it needs, I’m hoping its added interest lately helps contributions.

So if you had a post that mentioned specific cards, what method is recommended to link them to the post? Can this site use bots like Reddit that grab the image from scryfall?

We will need Cardfetcher or some other bot, but I believe want to continue with the [[ Card name ]] format for auto fetching cards.

Cool, that works good on Reddit. Would you mind posting when that is up and running?

Thanks for making this site, admins. I’m a fan of the Fediverse in general, so I’m excited to hang out here regardless of what happens with Reddit.

Thank you for being active! Andrew and I used to run a magic forum on this domain back in the late 90s so it is a true joy for us to be able to bring this back to life in a new form.
