Technically they can still break sisal ropes, so I guess all ropes are bad if you truly want to be a responsible cat owner.
Woven sisal is like a dense mat like material and the reason it lasts longer than rope posts is because they can’t really break it
They can break it, it’s just stronger and would last longer. Seagrass would probably be better. It’s cheaper, stronger, and alergy free.
