that’s because the american one was adventurism while the other one wasn’t. the Japanese assassination had wide popular support and led to lasting reform, which proves that the action was not adventurism at all. but with the attempted assassination on trump, nothing will fundamentally change.
Nah, the Abe assassination was still adventurism. It was still a single person acting alone and not as part of any organization. It’s a fortunate turn of events that the action ended up being appreciated enough that some reform happened as a result, but that was not a predictable outcome. In fact, the would-be Trump assassin had reason to believe he would have had a ton of popular support had he succeeded, given the Trump=Hitler and must be stopped at any cost rhetoric (if not action) by liberals. Both of them were definitely adventurisms.
