I wanna build some more pauper decks, preferably off-meta ones. I already have a kiln fiend and sliver deck but I want to build more. maybe something white, like mono-w heroic or green aggro/stompy.

Do you have anything you’ve put together yet? Just curious if you have any starting decklists or ideas put together.

I’ve thought this was a cool idea: Abzan Soul Sisters. It runs cards like Jaspera Sentinel, Lunarch Veteran , and Marauding Blight-Priest, can gain a LOT of life, and can win with some fun cards like Lead the Stampede, Winding Way, or You Meet in a Tavern.

(Edit: looks like the cardbot has some trouble with certain cards currently. I will check into that. Updated the cards to link to scryfall directly).

Sounds like a fun deck. I don’t really have any ideas, soI’m open to anything. Kinda like the ideas to have an elves deck or this mono w deck.but other than that im open for ideas. Maybe something off meta or really jank

I always thought Mono-White Heroic seemed like a cool concept but I’ve never gotten around to building it. It never seems to be at the top of the metagame, but here’s its MTGGoldfish archetype page – looks like it’s seen some respectable finishes recently.

When I build a new deck I try to minimize cost and try not to be super over powered since it’s hard to find pauper players anyway and you don’t want to smash your friends every game.

This is why I opted for mono-w heroic which is fun to play but I couldn’t get it to behave very consistently. My favorite one is golgari aristocrats. There I also try to keep the costs low so I opted for Fists of Ironwood instead of Rancor. Also I themed it a little more on Vampires, just for fun. It’s super fun to play and with Rite of consumption it deals a ton of damage very fast.

Then I try experimenting with cards I found in some trash boxes. With them I built a u-control/mill deck based on jaces erasure which is very fun to play and works out better than expected. It would work even better when mixed with green for fog spells but they are to costly for me (since I try to keep the budget super low; as I said multiple times).

Lately I’m trying to build a mono blue tempo/faeries deck but I’m missing some important peaces.

Also I’m thinking about experimenting with some cleric deck; but currently not sure how to get some damage through.
