Unyielding Gatekeeper - 1W
Creature - Elephant Cleric (Rare)
Disguise 1W (You may cast this card face down for 3 as a 2/2 creature with ward 2. Turn it face up any time for its disguise cost.)
When Unyielding Gatekeeper is turned face up, exile another target nonland permanent. If you controlled it, return it to the battlefield tapped. Otherwise, its controller creates a 2/2 white and blue Detective creature token.
3/2
Wait, this seems… Maybe constructed playable? 2/2 Ward 2 for 3, and then for 2 more mana (at ANY time) you get to either flicker something or turn whatever scary permanent your opponent has into a weenie? I don’t know where this belongs, but it sounds strong.
Yeah the fact that this hits any nonland permanent and straight up exiles it at instant speed is really substantial. It’s 5 total mana to do this though which is high, but yeah maybe in the right deck this gets played in standard.
So I haven’t looked at MTG in a long while: why is there a little but plug in the bottom left next to a name?
That’s been there for a while now, I think since the Magic Origins edit to the modern frame? It’s supposed to be a fountain pen tip, or a quilltip or something.
The 8th edition frame has the whole paintbrush before the artist name.
