The constant “clapter” on political shows like The Daily Show and Last Week Tonight drives me absolutely fucking insane. It’s so fucking cringe what people in these crowds think it’s deserving of an applause break.
They have to be paid, they say the driest “jokes” and the crowd goes wild. They are like the lowest common denominator of comedy (if you can even call it such).

I think the tickets to the shows are free, and they have comics that pump the crowds up, and then add “applause” signs, and you end up with clapter…
