This is my exact reaction when I read that shit, it makes me feel like the detractors aren’t actually engaging with the art in front of them. They’re just weaponizing it against whoever the “other” is at any given time without actually thinking about what they just watched
Yeah they just use it as wish fulfillment, rather than absorbing any kind of message the creators might have for them. They get mad when there are characters or people IRL who interfere with that wish fulfillment.
