We believe that this guest with household income below $100,000 represents about 40% of our total sales and, based on our data, is dining out less often due to concerns about the economy and inflation.
Uh, yes, as someone who is in this demographic I can attest that dining out less due to vague concerns about the economy and inflation is a very real phenomenon that deserves further investigation.
I made 4 days worth of food (for two!) with 2 boxes of penne, some cheese, canned beans, and corn.
Like $8 of ingredients, or about $1 per serving. I’d much rather spend an hour cooking instead of spending that hour driving to chipotle, ordering, taking it home, filling up gas, and paying 10x for it.
Okay kinda barely relevant but “100 basis points” is 1% just say 1% business people are so fucking up their own business assholes it’s unreal
the slop bowl got too expensive
Imagine talking like this
Corpospeak and business talk is a standardized jargon and everyone is expected to talk like this and everyone hates talking like this except for the real freaks
If you can’t even bring yourself to abuse language, how can you be trusted to
abusemanage employees?

is it pretty pricey?
It’s roughly $10-12 per main item (burrito, burrito bowls, ect), with about $2-3 for a drink. I want to say it’s about the same value as a footlong from subway.
If you steal the tobasco you almost break even though
that was my first reaction, but the detail is $100k/household. i think most or at least many households are dual income and that $100K boundary is slicing into the pie
their rice sucks
It’s either mid when it’s fresh or disgusting when it’s all dry and crunchy
Man i truly, truly hate the “we gained in every area but less than we wanted to so it’s an objective failure” business horseshit.
“Stupid poors! Go rot with mummy and daddy forever! The rich will do all the consumer spending to prop up the economy FOR YOU! Life should be for rich people ONLY!”
“Hey, what do you mean rich people don’t like spending money? What do you MEAN they’re just saving it? What do you MEAN rich people don’t eat fast food?”
The so-called “economic geniuses” everyone.
