Amid backlash over partial demolition of East Wing, White House reportedly intends to send blueprints

The White House has not submitted plans for Donald Trump’s new ballroom to the federal agency that oversees construction of federal buildings, though demolition is already under way.

On Tuesday, the White House told Reuters it intended to send plans to the National Capital Planning Commission, an agency that typically approves and monitors construction on federal buildings. Demolition began earlier this week, with reporters taking video of a backhoe ripping out chunks of the White House’s exterior.

The New York Times reported Wednesday, citing a senior administration official, that the ballroom plans will mean the demolition of the entire East Wing.

I had a girlfriend from New Jersey tell me the best way to use your turn signal on the highway is to turn it on after you already started merging. That way the person you’re cutting off can’t speed up to block you, and the cops won’t pull you over for not signaling.

We were dating at age 19 maybe? She had already been in 2 car accidents.

I do know people like that and it’s blowing my mind every single time. They don’t use turn signals if possible, if they do in roundabouts for example, they don’t do it to keep traffic going, they use it on the way out to not get a ticket. Somehow these people never get pulled over or get a fine. I got pulled over randomly and had to take drug tests and whatever. When i asked them why they pulled me over, they just shrugged. My girlfriend who was not a terrible driver, but far from a good one, was once followed by the police for a few kilometres, with the lights on and “pull over” sign and whatever. She just didn’t know, because she hardly ever uses her mirrors, no over the shoulder look etc. when they did finally overtook her and pulled her over, they all just had a good laugh about how bad she was at keeping an eye at her surroundings. I swear if that was me, i would be in jail.

The logic also falls through not only on safety grounds, but on the fact that legally in most places you technically have to signal for three full seconds before changing lanes, and maintain signaling until you have been in the lane for a couple seconds. So in total you have to be signaling for like 6 seconds minimum, otherwise you could still be ticketed for it.

Although realistically the only time you would see a ticket is if you caused an accident by not doing it
