The Han supremacy stuff is so bizarre because like yes, Han is obviously the majority ethnic group in China, but the Chinese government in all its propaganda and stuff makes a big deal about the 56 different ethnic groups that populate China. Always tries to highlight minorities, teaches those languages in schools, dances and songs expressing those cultures show up everywhere, all the signage in those places is in both Mandarin and the minority language, etc etc. And you compare that to actual existing white supremacy, which actively suppresses any acknowledgement that minorities are somehow “different” and “worth celebrating” or anything.
Yeah it’s all projection. When one culture gets big it can squish or pressure other things like languages etc etc. it’s not bad per se, it’s natural, and the way China is reacting is so much more appropriate.
