Mine just keeps getting lower and lower. I’ll call out bullshit as I see it and if people have an issue with that then they can get a tissue
It has PLUMMETED past 35. In my 20s I’d give people the benefit of the doubt too much, try and justify their behaviour etc so I was being “fair”. Now I prioritise being fair to me, and don’t put up with shit
Same! I lost all patience for people’s bullshit.
Identical arc here, right down to the decision age. Now my policy online is “block early, block often” with a hair trigger and in real life, bullshit is rewarded with “I see,” followed by me turning to someone else and starting a conversation with them, ignoring the bullshitter.
It has run out. I was all for blaming the media, the powerful etc. for constantly and deliberately misleading the public but my patience has gone and I can no longer forgive people’s wilful ignorance or refusal to think even slightly critically.
I still try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I’m quicker to minimize contact with them and keep them at a distance if I sense I’m being mistreated. I’ve found calling out the bullshit to be counterproductive because those types are more likely to get defensive than acknowledge they’ve done something wrong and change. It takes a lot for me to become confrontational.
For me it’s the opposite, I’m much more quick to confront others nowadays. That said, my bullshit tolerance did also plummet.
