If so, what do you plan to be this year? If not, what do you enjoy seeing others wear? Or if you want to talk about why you don’t, that’s welcome too.

I have very thankfully not had to worry about Halloween for a quarter of a century. On Halloween I will be dressing up as a marketing consultant.

Historically no, but I got invited to a friend’s party and she’s the type to hand make costumes for her and her fiancée every year, so the wife and I will be dressing up this year. We have no idea what but it’ll be low effort lol

I can’t do it this year (recovering from some surgery), but last year I did a punk, Anime inspired bunny girl. Big pufy 80s rock styled wig, spiked collar, ripped black shirt with tulle under, tight black pleather pants, and chonky combat boots I added chains around. There also was a belt with silver grommets all around and I hung a chain all the way around. And hanging from that were a couple of potion bottles that I filled with booze and purple food coloring and cake glitter. And had floppy black and purple ears and a black bunny tail. Plus dark makeup.

Came out really well. I like to make my own costumes like that rather than buying, but sometimes it’s a mix of bough and extra accessories.

I wish I could dress up for Halloween. I’ve wanted to dress up as Poison Ivy (kind of tried something on but it made me have massive dysphoria).

I would like to try again one year but also I would probably dress up as a science officer from Star Trek 🖖🏼

Some years I do, and this is one of them, though I’m not sure yet if my plans include a friend’s housewarming party, or a local pub. I’m planning to be a snowy egret. I’ve got the stuff to make this kind of mask.

I didn’t get to do Halloween as a kid, so I missed out on trick-or-trearing. Seems like that’s becoming less of a thing now,at least in my area. It’s just trunk-or-treat at churches or schools. I wish real life was more like the over-the-top Halloween parties you always see on tv.

Snowy egret sounds fabulous! I was a flamingo last year. This year I’m working at a school, so I’m thinking I’ll be a minion.

Since our now-preschooler was born we’ve done family costumes (sometimes including the dogs). We’ve done Monsters Inc with us being Mike and Sully and her being Boo, the Flinstones with us being Fred and Wilma and her being Pebbles (the dogs being Dino), and the Fairly Odd Parents with us being Cosmo and Wanda and her being Timmy Turner. This year she wanted to be a dinosaur so she’s being a triceratops, so my husband’s being Dr. Alan Grant from Jurassic park and I’m a generic dinosaur scientist in a lab coat.

We definitely trick or treat around our neighborhood, but it’s big and mostly older people without kids so we don’t hit too many houses. There’s about a dozen or so kids that will knock on our door to get candy. We usually do a trunk or treat or two and then also a small candy walk through at an amusement park

I miss dressing up for Halloween! I had plans this year to make bat ponchos but that got cancelled. I think I’m gonna wear some skeleton pajamas to be festive. But I hope to do something bigger next year 🧡
