I can’t even express how much I hate this. No one needs this, no one should be exposed to this. AI slop must become illegal.

The sheer amount of money and resources which is poured into this increasingly awful shit is unconscionable. That goes for OpenAI and Deepseek and whatever else. It’s all fucking awful.

Mr Boat gets it:

I was of course watching skeptically, but I saw all sorts of easy indicators that it was AI bullshit. The clay-looking conductor’s fingers were meshing together weirdly and pretty sure he had an extra finger after the cut away. The duck water racetrack went from a round one like horse racing and then to a straight sprint track. The duck sizes varied wildly between cuts.

There is likely a point coming where this shit will be harder to catch, but they probably put millions into editing and perfecting this as best as possible and it was still pretty obvious because of the inherent flaws.

Now still images? That I’m scared of. Those are way harder to catch now

oh sure, you could tell in a number of the cuts that it was AI generated, but in some it was harder to tell. But it’s only going to get harder. Just a year ago this video wouldn’t have been even remotely believable. Next year it may be next to impossible to tell.

Oh I agree it’s only going to get worse, and when you project it into social development its absurdly harmful in so many ways. I’m just glad that their hundreds of millions still is this shitty

yeah true… im actually surprised its still distinguishable with the amount of resources they have at their disposal. I could probably do something similar on my home machine, though it would probably take me a month or so to do.
