That’s good to know. It also makes me like Madeleine more as someone who’s never heard of her before this post and has heard of and liked Kat Blaque. It’s just a lot of her accusations of this Madaleine character I would consider positives lol. I like the DPRK and think they do deserve to be supported, (one reason she said that she stopped following Madeline) and I do think more liberals and “leftists” need to be shamed away from supporting the Democrats, and the Democrats do support genocide and people need to be reminded about it. I can’t look at Democrats anymore without thinking of those people with their hands in their ears while the names of dead Palestinian children were being shouted in their ears. The black community’s obsession of sticking with Democratic Party liberals is a huge downside that the next generation of black leftists needs to learn to overcome if we want to get any progress at all.

On the other hand, I get Kat calling for more empathy. Like they say, you attract flies better with sugar than vinegar. And it sounds like Madaleine is very aggressive, which I don’t even think works for communities like hexbear when you assume bad faith from every liberal who walks in instead of trying to get them to your side. And Madeleine does seem to have some weird racial hang ups, based on that article, too.

Oh yeah, Madeline has good takes on DPRK, and I agree that the Dem establishment needs to be shamed for the genocide in Gaza.

I don’t think the black community has an obsession with supporting Democrats, I think they have a real and physical need to keep their community (relatively) safe. The black community is facing real physical consequences from the Trump administration that white people don’t. Speaking as a white person, it’s easy to be a white leftist when you personally don’t have any skin in the game. It’s easy to have good geopolitical and foreign policy takes when you aren’t worried about where the next meal for your children comes from.

Leftists need to build up grassroots local victories, with community outreach and engagement. There’s definitely lots of it happening already, lots more progress needs to be made to create real grounded solidarity between marginalized groups.

Big online content creators should always be taken with some salt.

She’s admitted plenty of times that black liberalism is a self-defense mechanism and that their support for democrats is a matter of raw survival. As a black leftist, it’s hard to find a white online creator that has given more coverage to 101-level black leftist history and philosophy. And she regularly points people to actual black leftists who speak o the topics she covers because she knows that her cracker-ass is half the scholar of black history that many black creators are.

She covers that shit because some white people won’t hear shit if a white person isn’t the one telling them.
