it’s a tough call but this is my new favorite thing trump has said. the context just makes it so good. he uses an ai video to publicly give condolences then when someone brings the death of “his good friend” up, he says he’s doing good and starts talking about a ballroom and how great he is. perfection.
I respect whatever makes him like this. If I were demonstrating to people how little I cared about the deceased by talking up my big beautiful ballroom project, I would have a tinge of shame when I sensed people’s awkwardness. Which good, fuck 'em if they have one soft word to say for Charlie, but that conditioning is there in me. But our big wet president just powers through.
