My parents very briefly toyed with the idea of retiring to Florida. My siblings and I all said “we will not come visit you” and they quickly changed their mind.

I mean, it’s the perfect situation to create new bio weapons for. Make a more deadly version of disease that’s vaccine mandatory in your own country, and there’s no risk to you and plenty to Florida. Florida: Bioweapon Testing Range. Imagine a Blue state making anti-Red state weapons.
