    I don’t understand Canadian nationalism, it’s always like “Look how much American boot we lick, aren’t we great?”

    Even Australian nationalism isn’t that blatant with their America worship.

    • I mean, Canadian nationalism was based off the adoration of its role as junior imperial partner of Britain, the biggest empire of the time, it’s no wonder when US, its neighbor, replaced Britain as the unipolar hegemony, Canada followed suit.

      Something about being a loyalist nation during the US counter-revolutionary war, founded on respecting decorum of the law while more ‘politely’ killing off Indigenous people does that to someone, I guess

      Makes Australia look more rebellious in comparison
