It wasn’t Netanyahu that said it, just retweeted the sentiment, but Israel’s allies are on global right. It is just doing the same thing as when Zionists say they’re holding back the tide of Islam and ‘the west’ would be conquered by Hamas if not for them.

I get that, but who hears “the global right” and thinks this is a thing worth protecting? Are there American conservatives who have solidarity with French and Russian right-wingers?

Israel isn’t just openly right wing, ‘leftist’ is a derogatory term over there; Any time people are upset with folks not being bloodthirsty, they’ll call them left wing even though the claim would be laughable. When you had families of the prisoners saying they wanted their families back and it was providing bad PR for Israel, a former Israeli spy was saying on national television that ‘these leftists’ should be quiet or else there would be consequences. I recall an interview with Abby Martin (EDIT: Before october 7th) where an Israeli was telling her that he doesn’t believe Palestinians should be killed, only driven out and sent to other countries instead, and that his friends call him a leftist for not wanting Palestinians dead.

Having said this, remember that this tweet is from the Jerusalem post, a news source primarily intended for Israelis. One of the concerns being voiced by zionists (both Israeli zionists and non-Israeli zionists) is about the rising populations of muslims in Western countries; Israelis have a lot of solidarity with far right groups throughout Europe, and I recall reading that Israel funds a lot of far right groups throughout.

One of the unifying traits among the global right wing (Majority Muslim countries excluded) is Islamophobia. The people this appeals to are the people who see liberal as a slur for the wrong reasons.

Some of Nethanyahu’s closest allies are also anti-Semitic, but they are supportive of Israel killing Muslims since it normalises ethno-states and Islamophobia.
