i’ve never thought about Bad Fabrics, but on the other end of the spectrum i do have this nice Velour Robe that i bought my wife that i occasionally steal. Then there’s the Fluffy Cat that i picked up with my Shirt Off the other day and just about died in sensory joy overload. i’ve never had it be too much before it was weird.
Oh, it’s a way sensory overload can manifest. I hate lace, although admire the artwork of it. I like soft plush things and running my fingers on things that are smooth. I don’t like wearing silks though, too slippery on the body. Some fabrics make SOUND and those are the worst.
i use it to manage my gut. slows down severe diarrhea and manages pain. i seek out pinene and limonene terpenoid profiles, sour diesel and og kush derivatives
I’ve always had a rough stomach and smoking helps a lot more than any other medications ive used. It works within a few minutes which is also much faster than other options.
Hmm I should make a note of those terpenes. Internet stranger TMI here but having ibs-d I’ve found marijuana is one of the few things that has seemed to help some over the course of my life.
Even the prescription medicine I’ve taken for it wears off sooner or later but I’ve never really paid attention that strictly to terpenes, perhaps it’s time I do so.
Is it dependent on the type of weed?
Some 90’s type 100 percent indica works like that for me. I do not have any diagnosis though. Worry about shit tomorrow, best Xanax ever, no side effects etc.
I could easily imagine some other strain stressing me out.
This amuses me as i use cannabis to increase resiliance to sensory overload. Yay autism.
Same but ADHD. Stops my brain from being a complete box of frogs for a few hours and makes everything delicious. Yay weed.
It helps so much to make my brain stop caring about Too Many Sounds and Bad Fabrics its wild.
Oh, shit.
Bad fabrics. Finally, someone else? E.g. touching some velvety stuff makes it feel like I can’t breathe?
How do I learn more about it? I’m scared to know what it means, but can probably guess.
About which? Being autistic or having sensory overload related to physical sensations?
I’ve just never heard anyone else talk about being sensitive to particular materials.

Cats are always on the good end of the touching scale. With their permission!
especially when my hands are achy, there’s nothing better

Yup!!! Purely being subjective, but i think the “high” that neurotypicals describe is more of a filtering for nd folk.

I think a big part of it is it takes effect in like 10 seconds vs. 45 minutes
