The person I responded to, again not the one at the tippy-top of the thread, is saying that the pedo ring shouldn’t be treated with much of a high priority despite absolutely being some top-tier evil shit. If the country pulls off actually bringing people down because of it, those are largely the same people causing a lot of the environmental and healthcare issues. If they really let this momentum go they maybe even be able to begin the long trek towards making sure that people know exactly who conservatives work for and who they’re happy to knowingly support. This is rightfully eroding people’s trust in a political party bent on hurting as many people as possible.
It’s all tied together. I’d say it’s obvious, but you couldn’t even figure out who I was directly responding to so maybe connecting dots isn’t some people’s strong suit.

Again, they don’t say that it’s a bad thing that this is gaining traction, just that they agree it would be nice if it happened for something more important. They even make a point to note, just as you did in this last message, that many of the same people are behind all of these problems.
And the key thing to note is that they are themselves responding to someone jumping down the throat of the OP which is why I felt it necessary to address the issue from the top since that forms the foundation of everything that followed.
