I mean, if he does actually have bipolar, then it’s something to consider. And refusing treatment should be within the rights of the patient. I don’t know what the right answer would be in such a case.

A person with such a condition is not always in full control of themselves, and (as this is what I can guess your water gun emoji are implying) we cannot put people to the wall for actions they can’t control. This may be harder to understand when the lack of control causes you dress like a Klan instead of cussing people out and working on a genius operating system, but still! I can see the argument for forceful institutionalization and treatment, but is that ethical? We cannot strip a human of their humanity, no matter how convenient it may be to do so. Or perhaps instead of humanity, we cannot strip from a life the inherent value of that life. There’s a difference between someone in their right mind choosing to exploit people for profit and a person with a mental illness being unable to control themselves. I’m not saying we should allow this to continue, but “🔫🔫🔫” is not an option.

They have stripped themselves of their humanity by refusing to accept that they are anti-social in a terminal fashion that endangers everyone else around them.

It has to take it off to kill everyone — everything you love; all the hope and tenderness in the world. It has to take it off, just for one second. To do the deed. And then you see it. As it strangles and beats your friends to death… the sweetest, most courageous people in the world… You see the fear and power in its eyes. Then you know that the bourgeois are not human.

I guess on some level you all may be right. It’s not unheard of for artists to go full fash without a reason, (I’ve heard Eminem has recently done some wild stuff in his music) especially when all this fascist shit is becoming more popular to the public. I just also know that sometimes people do things they can’t necessarily be held accountable for. At least, not entirely. And maybe I shouldn’t say Mr. West is one of those people. I don’t know his medical status well enough to make a judgement on that. I know people who have cared about hin have tried to get him to go to a psych hospital, so it’s likely there’s something to that. But bipolar did not make him a part of the bourgeoisie. It doesn’t make him exploit people for profit. But a person on the street holding a sign, “The end is nigh, repent!” may not be the frothing fash they might sound like.
