  • Skin is an elastic organ. If you start putting on fat, your skin stretches. The foreskin can be stretched with regular motion. Retracting it on a daily basis would encourage it to stretch. Infections occur only when the foreskin isn’t cleaned well. I don’t know your circumstances personally. Teaching you how to keep clean and retracting the skin is a viable method. I’m not discrediting your parents. Just sharing the logic behind why circumcision is not absolutely necessary or should be the first choice. If this was the informed decision they made for you, I’m glad it was successful with no complications. That’s the best possible outcome.

  • When a baby is born, the doctor may ask if you’d like to have your baby circumcised. If this is the case, it happens before they leave the hospital. This is where that time frame comes in. Otherwise, circumcision is “recommended” within the first two weeks after birth.

Here is a medical reason at birth: https://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/birthdefects/hypospadias.html

Any medical condition after birth that requires a circumcision, needs to be performed by a doctor who knows exactly what they’re doing. Not every doctor does. So you end up with not-so-great stories shared around.

Edit: You describe the tight foreskin you experienced which is in the second link I provided. It is a medical condition that doesn’t require circumcision. In fact, you could still have your foreskin right now. The condition usually goes away over time. Believe it or not. Circumcision is an easy way out. But one that may cost. And in the case of that individual, it did.

  • Oh boy. You’re about to learn a lot.

A circumcision isn’t necessary when there’s nothing medically wrong with you. It’s literally mutilation when it’s done for religious or appearance reasons. Spoiler! These are the two most common reasons why this procedure takes place. You didn’t consent.

When you’re born, the foreskin is fused to the glans (penis head). A foreskin’s purpose is protecting the glans and keeping it moist. A circumcised penis is scientifically proven to have reduced sensitivity because the glans are exposed all the time.

This procedure usually happens when the baby is 24 to 48 hours old. There are over ~100 deaths a year from circumcision. If an infection occurs, this can easily get out of hand and cause the loss of all or parts of the penis… on a new born baby mind you. Complications later in life may include, but not limited to: pain or discomfort with an erection, erectile dysfunction, or abnormal shape or size of an erection.

Because a new born penis is incredibly small, the slightest mistake can lead to disaster. In some cases, can mentally fuck someone up. Unfortunately, I am personally affected by a botched procedure. Too much skin was taken off and the urethral opening was torn.

It’s an unnecessary procedure that can fuck up your otherwise healthy at birth child for the rest of their life. All for some religious reason or because parents “don’t like it” - every male is born with it. It’s there for a reason.

Linux uses half the RAM Windows does in a fresh install. 8GB can absolutely be done on a Linux system without worry. To aid systems with 4-8GB RAM, Windows compresses. This has allowed OEMs to ship systems with 8GB as a minimum. This just isn’t enough for multitasking. The CPU is tasked with constantly compressing and decomposing if you’re attempting to multitask. This can make an already cheap laptop feel a little more sluggish. 16GB has always been the minimum for gaming systems and these days it’s becoming apparent 32GB is needed. 8GB is just pitiful for a computer these days.

Addressing the OP, mobile devices used to only need 2-4GB for the longest time. The OS wasn’t that heavy because the ARM CPU could only do so much. As the CPUs improved, higher resolutions were used, prettier animations and more features got added. This all needs more RAM. Android developer options will tell you how much RAM you’re using. A feature of Android is to keep a process cached in RAM that’s been recently used. This is present to aid in battery life. Even if you swipe the app away from recents list, a portion is cached so the next time you start it, the CPU doesn’t have to work as hard to load it up. You can see this under Running services > Cached processes. This means it’s more beneficial for the mobile device to have more RAM.

  • That’s why! Once in a while I watch one of his streams for a bit when he’s playing something new. Every single time I watch, I come back a day or two later and I have booby streamers in my suggestions. I’m not even remotely interested bc gay. I always have to remove the suggestion but it’s a losing battle. They come back. You’d think twitch would actually cater to only what you want to see.

  • For the longevity of the battery, you shouldn’t let it get that low. Lithium batteries really dislike being below 10% or above 90%. Ideally you should charge above 30% and stop at 90%. Samsung even offers a feature for when to stop charging. Apple has a battery health report that tells you how well it’s performing compared to when it was new. Fast charging above 30W is hard on health too. You should use a charger below that. I personally use an 18W charger.

You may have long battery life now, but it won’t last with poor battery hygiene. I’ve personally ruined batteries in the past in 3-4 years to where the phone can no longer accurately read the battery level. People I know have done it too. My last phone lasted a whopping 6 years before the battery finally started screwing up.

WoW itself runs fine on Linux. Don’t expect any difference here.

That said, it used to be insane button bloat for everyone. Very complex rotations. Around Legion they started reworking it. Now most specs are reduced to rotations being 3-5 buttons. Work in the occasional cool down or defensive and things just fall over. This works out very well for the casual player. Controller support was added a few expansions ago. With the most recent expansion it’s reached good refinement. Some class/spec combos are easier than others.

An addon called Console Port makes it so easy to play with a controller. For leveling or daily quests, it’s perfectly acceptable. I’ve tried it and find it quite enjoyable. I particularly like it on my demon hunter. Though don’t expect to jump into competitive content. You need access to way more than a controller can provide. It slows you down.
