Way way way back in the late 90s I visited slashdot multiple times a day. I know it’s still around but it is nothing like the commander taco days

I think I read about it way back then on slashdot …

I remember he also had a “stinky feet” series of experiments until he has on the verge of developing cellulitis or something…
Now I feel old.
Melange of course. Really gives you that baked in sand worm flavor without having to catch one.

Acid burn has a laptop with a “p6” chip, and the mention how risc is superior. From what I remember around that time there was talk of Intel chips being risc with a translation unit changing cisc instructions to risc, so you had the compatibility of one but the speed of the other.

Granted the forms of mfa available without a hardware key are far from perfect. But they are better then no extra authentication method.
A good plan violently executed now is better than a perfect plan executed next week

jdupes: it’s great software. The author left GitHub not because of Microsoft, but because he refused to implement 2fa on his account, which GitHub made mandatory.

In my limited experience the speed a rust complied executable runs is highly dependent on compiler options. By default (from what I remember), rust includes a ton of debug info in the resulting program. With the correct compiler flags you can strip all that out and programs run very close to c speeds.
That is a lot of effort to say that you don’t care…
Yes, but how would Jod pronounce PNG?

The number of .gov email address found in janitor section of the DB dump when the site was hacked not too long ago perhaps.
His Divine shadow.
Edit: spelling

Balatro is rogue like? Maybe I don’t understand the genre as much as I thought.
Tater tot casserole - i.e. funeral potatoes

Hack the planet!
Underrated comment.

The best advice I got was to periodically delete your current account and create a new one. Then remove any association you have with the old account: history, password managers, etc. Yes, that accounts comments may live on for ever in some archive, but removing your association with it goes a long way towards plausible deniability. If your super paranoid only access Lemmy through tor going forward.
Not cereal killer!
