But not all moms/mums are created equal.
Enjoying the great vista of the Fedisphere.
But not all moms/mums are created equal.
Palestine instigated the fight? When, 1947 or 1948?
Hamas is not Palestine. Hamas is an extreme. But I guess the Polish (with support of allied troops) instigated the fight against WWII Germany as well post invasion.
Edit: and those damned Boy Scout troops in Poland were apparently so horrendous that they deserved being rounded up and massacred as well, those evil 8-17 year olds.
Surely you meant that Palestinians (and Palestine) are subjected to war crimes, aggression and attempts to extinguish nation, lineages and historical contexts? Similarly to Ukraine.
I’m not from the US, but I have the distinct opinion that both Biden and Trump are too old. My parents are/were younger, and I wouldn’t trust them with decisions about anything other than what they want for breakfast.
Bernie Sanders seems saner, but you guys really need some lesser-than-septuagenarian who has non-Xitter oomph, and who has compassion and respect for human life and the planet.

Well, and he also has Greek ancestry, so it’s a delicate diss without going overtly into politics.
Thank you, I had forgotten some of the memes and jokes from that era.
Well pointed out.
I want to add my praise to the heap.
I’m pretty happy with Voyager on mobile, but when writing something, it’s not ideal.
The generic Lemmy UI is more than OK on desktop, but the lack of error code reporting to the user was frustrating, at times I tried to resubmit posts and comments and the spinning Submit button just kept on going, for some communities in particular. So I stopped posting in these communities.
Now, with Alexandrite, I feel like this is a good UI that I really like. And I love that you write out the background error message for why posting or commenting fails!
Really nice job!
That could be fixed in the apps and UI:s as a cosmetical improvement based on a timezone entered in the user settings. UTC is… universal.
As if we Swedes wouldn’t have mandatory education about the major religions of the world during school already. And I am pretty sure almost every school library carries copies of the quran, just as the bible and some other major scriptures.
Among the first leading paragraphs I was worried that this merely was what Bhutan claimed. That it was followed up by WWF and other organizations is great.
And worse than that, the article states:
Mrs Scott was unable to free herself and, as Cliff drove away, she was dragged under the Go North East vehicle and remained pinned under its rear wheels for almost an hour.
The long ass skinny one is great for pickle jars on the dining table. We love pickles.
The herring one, well, it’s called “sillgaffel” in Swedish. We do use it when we eat pickled herring, but also for olives and other small delicacies served in small bowls instead of using tooth picks to pick them out.
The “sandwich” one is accompanied by a “sandwich” knife, and are intended to be used for appetizers, and according to an older friend, single sandwiches with ham and (sometimes melted) cheese would be served as appetizers occasionally.
There are dessert forks as well, but they are rare. There are proper crustacean forks too that I would like, as they’d be useful.
There also are supposed to exist fish forks (and fish knives) in the series as well, but I kind of stop before that.
Thank you for subscribing to obscure Swedish cutlery facts. Reply with NOOOOO STOOOOOP! to unsubscribe.
Omg, I just found out there are two more forks I don’t have! Going to waste a month tracking them down… (Ignore me, this reignited my sometimes-pastime of completing my cutlery, just wanted to share some of my joy.)
I was helping out at a farm when I was in my preteens, and was rushed by a docile cow that loved being scratched behind her ears. I had petted and scratched her, and when I went to leave the paddock, she rushed me and almost impaled me with one of her horns. Since then I only have one working kidney.
Cows are big, strong and heavy, and docile dogs can also kill. Any kind of caution around things large or feisty enough to kill you is healthy.
