The US’s whole political system has been drifting rightward. Our center is more to the right than 20 years ago. So it does not matter if regression to center is happening as the center drifts into the fascist event horizon. Every possible “this is why it could never happen here” is possibly a single event away from being breached, then discarded. The US has had so many of our safety checks blown through, and the only people who can now prevent it have no desire to do so, because they’re on the same team.

I’m sure you will be vigilant, but it takes the whole country. And a person may be smart, but people are dumb, panicky animals.

This is false, if there was evidence it would be in court. Every licensed lawyer would be filing suit. The fact there is no suit tells you there is no actual evidence.

There is not a ton of evidence, there are rumors and conjecture. I say that wishing there was proof so many people didn’t actually elect him.

The last season of GoT invalidated all of the growth that was witnessed in all the previous seasons, ruining the story.

How I Met Your Mother’s last season broke a spell that was over me, thinking that any of the characters were decent people. And allowed me to look at the whole thing without any of the nostalgia that carried me throughout the show. Was a young adult with questionable opinions that got better as I got older. The show seems to have never done so. And so I can say that the bad season did ruin the rest of the show, as I may have never given it a critcal eye if they had written it better.
