Holy catfish, though, to some of the other stuff in there.

The Jan. 3, 2020, prayer was led by televangelist and White House spiritual adviser Paula White. She later came under fire after remarks she made about “satanic pregnancies” and miscarriages. Her words were: “We command all satanic pregnancies to miscarry right now.”

Then later she complains she was ‘taken out of context’. Sweetheart, I’m not sure that would be a rational statement even in context.

Moses threw the original 10 commandments on the ground when he saw what they had done, and a great crack opened in the ground and swallowed a bunch of them up. Then they were forced to wander in the desert for 40 years, instead of going to the promised land of milk and honey. God very much dislikes it when people create golden idols to worship. That’s one of the many reasons why that golden trump idol at CPAC was so horrifying for Christians who actually read the Bible, and try to live by the teachings of Jesus Christ. It’s a stark symbol that these people were either never actually Christians, or have really lost their way. Their religion has been weaponized for political power, and they appear to be blind as to what is happening.

The people who fall for this really do have a special kind of brain don’t they.

If I go to an organization and they have a gold statue of an individual only tangentially related to that organization, that would decreases my trust in the organization.

Don’t worry. I’m sure you can find some evangelical paleoconservatives who will rant till their voices are horse about graven images after seeing a statue of MLK or Harvey Milk.

It’s almost like you’re saying they’re intellectually dishonest perpetuators of bigoted double standards.
