The Atlantic falls into the “both sides” trap and every so often throws out one of these af if they need to prove they aren’t biased. It’s Overton window shifting dumb.

Exactly. It’s Mr. Trump. Mr. Obama. Mr. Bush. Etc.
We have stop normalizing reverence for former statesmen. Respect—where it’s deserved—sure but titles belong to the office not the person.
I really like what they do but mostly find them unlistenable. If you don’t enjoy listening to people just chatting and making lots of—often bad—jokes in the middle of the narrative, this podcast is not for you.
If you don’t mind that, they do a great job of deep diving into the history of despicable people.
You don’t have to deny that Hezbollah is a terrorist organization to call these attacks terrorism.
Both of these statements can be true.
How is setting off little bombs amongst a civilian population not terrorism?
Why fork? Aren’t all of the major engines open source? People can choose one and build a browser around it and leave out the cruft.
Either they can’t work and have nothing better to do or this is what they get paid to do. I wonder…
The media wants a fight because fights get ratings and $. It’s in their interest to make both candidates look equally good/bad. This makes them allergic to charges of bias which helps the shittier candidates.
Yeah, it’s very easy to set them off and make them lose it by just being consistent and not backing down or following their rambling.
This reporter showed exactly how every question put to them should be handled.
The OP claimed she “obliterates” people she holds grudges against. I’d never heard any stories about her like that and still haven’t. Didn’t know if I missed something, I don’t follow career.
Not really, that’s not a grudge. I was hoping for example not related to the election.
Different kind of swiftboat in play this election.
Do you have examples of this or is it just hyperbole?
I’m convinced he wears a corset underneath that suit.
As opposed to the price hikes that make it cheaper?
Is your goal marriage or just dating?
If marriage, consider that anyone from B with whom you may otherwise find compatibility may not be comfortable in A.
If just dating, stay in B for a while. Date people and learn what you need/want in a partner. Treat it like practice for finding a partner—while respecting and being open and honest with the people you’re dating. Then move back to A when you’re ready to put down roots. Maybe you’ll be lucky and meet someone in B who is amazing and would like to live in A—has been there and is as comfortable as you there. Or, you move back to A and maybe broaden your preconceived notion of who is an acceptable partner.
Don’t rush anything, be prepared to adjust your expectations, respect the other person’s needs and goals.
It sounds like you’re from a culture/religion that is somewhat insular. Consider that there may be people outside your culture who will respect it and be compatible as long as you respect theirs.
In addition to the other points made, not nearly as many people use Lemmy so it’s not as much of a target for bots.
The alt-right/Trump content on sites like Reddit and Twitter is amplified out of proportion by bots.
That almost sounds like he expects to lose. Those two are worthless. It’s probably his way of laundering their payments for services already rendered.
